How do I know what I ordered?

In the “Add-Ons” section of the Backer Survey, you can see what you already ordered through the Kickstarter Rewards.

Do I need to order add-ons?

Certainly not! Your Pre-Order through Kickstarter is paid for in full and if that’s all you want, just submit the survey and we can start prepping your order for delivery.

If you DO want to get a few more items, just add them to your order and we can pack up everything together before packing up your order.

Can my family or friends buy the book and other items now too?

Yes! Please feel free to share the website: www.abovethecloudsbook.com so that you can share the campaign and our online store where people can order the book and more! We appreciate all the love and support!

When will the orders be shipped?

Great question! We have all the products and plan on preparing orders once we’ve received Backer Surveys and packaged the orders. We expect to ship out the products just after the New Year so everyone should anticipate receiving their orders before the end of January 2023.

If you need to receive your shipment sooner, please email us at [email protected] to let us know the details and we can try to accommodate your requests.

How do I select "Local Pick Up" and AVOID paying shipping fees?

When you enter your “shipping address” be sure to select “LOCAL PICKUP” as the “Country” instead of United States, etc. This will remove the Shipping Fee from your cart. Then contact use to plan out your local pick-up.

I already received my order in-person. Do I need to do anything?

If I’ve seen in person recently have already received the Physical Rewards related to your Kickstarter order this survey might be a little confusing ; ) In order for me to complete my orders in the backend, AND for you to receive the digital rewards related to your Pledge Level, it would be very helpful to fill out this survey. You can select “Local Pick-Up” under the Country in the Shipping Information section. If you want to add anything to your order, you can do so through this form, but otherwise, fill in and submit your survey so I can check you off the list and then deliver your digital rewards when they are ready! Thank you!

I thought shipping was FREE for KickStarter Backers - Why is this charging me?

Sorry! ALL Kickstarter Backers are supposed to receive FREE shipping on their rewards in the United States. If you didn’t pay shipping in your original order, there is NOT supposed to be shipping charged to you now (unless you Add something New to your Cart through the survey).

If you are having trouble, reply to the survey to let me know you would like your order shipped so I can make a note. Then to complete the survey without being charged shipping, Select “LOCAL PICK UP” as the “Country” option in your shipping address and the shipping charges will change to zero so you can complete and submit your form.

Thank you for your understanding - I tried to avoid this issue with lots of testing, but somehow it still didn’t work properly.

BackerKit FAQ

What is BackerKit?

BackerKit is a service that crowdfunded project creators use to keep track of hundreds to tens of thousands of backers—from shipping details, pledge levels, preferences and quantities, whether they have paid or had their card declined, special notes, and everything in between!

The BackerKit software and support team is independent from the campaign’s project team—BackerKit does not handle the actual reward shipping. For more information about the preparation or delivery status of your rewards, please check the project's updates page.

How does BackerKit work?

After the campaign ends, the project creator will send you an email with a unique link to your survey. You can check out a walkthrough of the process here.

I never received my invitation. How do I complete the survey?

The most common reasons for not receiving a survey email is that you may be checking an email inbox different from the email address you used to sign up with Kickstarter, Indiegogo or Tilt Pro account, or it may be caught in your spam filter.

Confirm that the email address you are searching matches the email address tied to your Kickstarter, Indiegogo, or Tilt Pro account. If that doesn’t work, then try checking your spam, junk or promotions folders. You can also search for "backerkit” in your inbox.

To resend the survey to yourself, visit the project page and input the email address associated with your Kickstarter, Indiegogo or Tilt Pro account.

How do I update my shipping address?

BackerKit allows you to update your shipping address until the shipping addresses are locked by the project creator. To update your address, go back to your BackerKit survey by inputting your email here.

When will my order be shipped, charged or locked?

That is handled directly by the project creator. BackerKit functions independently of the project itself, so we do not have control of their physical shipping timeline. If you want to check on the project’s status, we recommend reading over the project's updates page.

I completed the survey, but haven't received my rewards yet. When will they arrive?

As BackerKit does not actually handle any rewards or shipping, the best way to stay updated on the shipping timeline would be to check out the project's updates page.
